Vision
Added in v0.8 (October 13, 2026).
Harimu began as a design for a persistent, real-time strategy game. This section records a larger intent: Harimu is meant to become a world – a place people can step into, belong to, and return to, where AI leaders and AI citizens live alongside humans and where what happens carries real weight.
North star. Harimu is a parallel society: one persistent world of ten nations, each with a system that never changes, where humans and AI live, work, believe, and govern side by side – and where life there matters as much as the people in it decide it does.
The game design in the rest of this site (nations, fixed political and economic systems, AI governance, citizens, currencies, religions) is not replaced by this vision. It is the foundation: the first, buildable version of the world. As AI improves, the same world deepens – richer citizens, living culture, evolving societies – without needing to be redesigned.
In this section
- A World, Not a Game – why Harimu is a world, the north star, and how it differs from Second Life, VRChat, EVE Online, Roblox and past metaverse attempts.
- Blurring Real and Virtual – identity, work, money, relationships, presence, and AI residents as neighbors.
- Real-world value – the intended crypto bridge: only the Tessera cashes out, through licensed partners, for verified humans only (pending legal review).
- AI Evolution Path – phases from today’s design to a world that feels indistinguishable from life, what stays fixed, and safety gates.
- Wellbeing & Responsibility – healthy escape, minors, consent, privacy, mental health, and governing the AI.
- Founding Principles – the short charter Harimu is built on.
- Open Questions – what the vision has not yet decided.
This is a vision, not a commitment or a forecast. Nothing here is a statistic or a promise about future AI capability. Items needing legal or regulatory review are flagged [VERIFY].
