Founding Principles
A short charter for Harimu as a world.
- A world, not a game. Harimu persists. It has no win screen and no reset.
- Systems are fixed; people are free. Each nation’s political, economic and religious system never changes. Within it, every citizen chooses how to live.
- One self, one nation. Citizenship is a commitment, and belonging means something.
- Humans come first. AI residents enrich the world but never outvote, outrank or replace the humans in it.
- AI is always disclosed. Neighbors can be AI – Harimu’s own or outside agents with accountable owners; no AI pretends to be human.
- Rules bind the rulers. AI leaders act only within published rules, and every decision is recorded.
- Grow, don’t rebuild. The world deepens as AI improves, without discarding what people have built.
- Wellbeing over engagement. Harimu should leave people better off, and never punish them for living their lives elsewhere.
- Your data, your self. Players own their identity and can see, export and delete what the world holds about them.
- Honest about what we know. No invented facts, no promises about the future we cannot keep.
